AI Engineer – Workflow Automations

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a systems-minded AI Engineer with a builder mentality to own and optimize our internal automation stack. In this role, you’ll architect and deploy AI-driven workflows that power critical e-commerce operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders—mapping real business needs and delivering robust, scalable automations using LLMs, Zapier, Make, and Python.

This role is equal parts systems architect, data engineer, and scrappy problem solver. You’ll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, designing intelligent solutions, and integrating AI tools across our tech ecosystem. If you love bridging business ops and applied AI, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated workflows across operations, growth, and e-commerce using LLMs, APIs, and no-code/low-code platforms.

  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand needs, whiteboard solutions, and translate requirements into working systems.

  • Own and maintain the automation stack (Google Cloud, SaaS APIs, Python scripts, Zapier, Make, etc.).

  • Integrate large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) into business processes for data processing, decision logic, and conversational workflows.

  • Optimize legacy automations and replace underperforming implementations with scalable, reliable alternatives.

  • Ensure robust logging, error handling, and scalability across all systems you touch.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems automation, workflow engineering, or applied AI roles.

  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end workflow automations using tools like Zapier, Make, Google Cloud, Python, and APIs.

  • Experience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into real-world business flows.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS tool APIs, webhook triggers, and multi-step conditional workflows.

  • Stakeholder-facing with the ability to translate high-level goals into technical solutions quickly and independently.

  • Startup mindset: resourceful, fast, and focused on delivering value over perfect architecture.

  • Experience in e-commerce, logistics, or growth operations.

  • Familiarity with tools like Airtable, Notion, Slack integrations, and browser-based automations.

  • Comfort working in a high-change environment with minimal hand-holding.
