Discord Remote Support Moderator

Permanent Employee, Part-time, Remote, PST Shift
Hourly Net Salary: Up to $4.5 per hour

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Discord Support Moderator to manage community tickets and chat, keep conversations organized, and uphold a safe, welcoming environment aligned with brand guidelines. You’ll be the friendly first line of support—moving quickly, enforcing rules consistently, and keeping the server running smoothly during scheduled hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Open, triage, and manage Discord Ambassador tickets; escalate when needed and close with clear summaries.

  • Handle real-time chat inquiries promptly; keep threads organized and on-topic.

  • Monitor community activity and enforce server rules, content standards, and brand guidelines.

  • Verify new members meet terms/conditions and role requirements; manage roles and permissions as needed.

  • Open/close channels per schedule and post daily status updates or pinned notices.

  • Maintain a professional, approachable presence; document FAQs and recurring issues for faster resolution.

Requirements:

  • Customer support experience (live chat, community, or help desk).

  • Strong written and verbal communication; calm, clear, and empathetic tone.

  • Detail-oriented with consistent, fair rule enforcement.

  • Comfortable managing multiple conversations at once and following a set schedule.

  • Familiarity with Discord (channels, roles, threads, mod tools).

  • Experience with Discord moderation bots (e.g., AutoMod, MEE6), ticketing tools, or macros.

  • Basic reporting/record-keeping in Google Sheets/Docs or Notion.

  • Prior community management for a consumer brand.
