Permanent Employee, Part-time, Remote, PST/EST Shift
Salary: Up to $8/hour

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Email Designer to craft visually compelling, high-converting email campaigns and automations for e-commerce clients. In this role, you will collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and developers to create performance-driven designs that elevate customer engagement and align with brand identity. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both design and HTML development for email marketing, with experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) and lifecycle marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build responsive, high-performing email templates for promotions, product launches, abandoned cart flows, loyalty programs, and lifecycle automations.

  • Own end-to-end creative execution for all email campaigns—from concept to build.

  • Code pixel-perfect HTML emails optimized for major devices and email clients.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CRM, marketing, product, and creative teams to ensure alignment with campaign goals.

  • Execute A/B tests on layout, CTAs, personalization, and other design elements to optimize click-through and conversion rates.

  • Maintain a scalable, modular email design system using reusable components.

  • Ensure all email builds comply with deliverability, accessibility (ADA), and legal requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).

  • Analyze email performance metrics and use insights to inform design decisions and improve future campaigns.

  • Stay up to date with trends in e-commerce, email design, and engagement strategies.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of email design and HTML development experience in e-commerce or DTC.

  • Advanced proficiency in email coding best practices (responsive HTML/CSS).

  • Proficiency in major ESPs (e.g., Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable).

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of e-commerce campaigns (e.g., welcome flows, winback, post-purchase).

  • Experience using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), and/or Sketch.

  • Deep understanding of retention marketing and customer journey mapping.

  • Experience implementing dynamic content blocks, personalization, and segmentation strategies.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
