Master Data Specialist (NetSuite)
Permanent Employee, Full-time, Remote, PST Shift
Monthly Net Salary: $2,000 to $2,400
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-obsessed Master Data Specialist to own item, BOM, and recipe master data in NetSuite. You’ll be the subject-matter expert for product, component, and purchasing data—establishing standards, safeguarding data integrity, translating manufacturing requirements into clean ERP setups, and driving continuous improvements that keep NetSuite the single source of truth across the business.
Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and govern NetSuite item masters (raw, semi-finished, finished), product recipes, BOMs, units of measure, and purchasing details.
Enforce master-data standards, SOPs, and controls to ensure completeness, consistency, and auditability; lead cross-functional data intake and conflict resolution.
Configure data per production location needs (UOMs, conversions, consumption rules) and protect integrity through procedural and system controls.
Prepare and validate material master updates for annual cost rolls; prevent costing errors across all extended plants.
Build guidelines to address recurring enterprise master-data issues; propose and implement process and automation improvements.
Serve as Master Data “super user”: train stakeholders, troubleshoot exceptions, and champion NetSuite as the single source of truth.
Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Co-Mans, Procurement, Finance, and QA to translate requirements into robust ERP configurations.
Maintain 100% accuracy targets for material masters, BOMs, purchasing info records, and product groups; perform ongoing quality checks and remediation.
Communicate daily with stakeholders to ensure all component/customer attributes are populated and current; document changes and decisions.
Requirements:
3–5+ years in ERP master data (item/BOM/UOM) with demonstrated ownership of data governance and standards.
2+ years functional NetSuite experience (items, BOMs, workflows, searches, cost rolls); co-manufacturing familiarity strongly preferred.
Advanced accuracy and data-entry discipline; proven methods for data validation, reconciliation, and problem solving.
Strong analytical skills; able to diagnose root causes and implement scalable fixes and SOPs.
Clear written and verbal communication; effective cross-functional collaborator and trainer.
Highly organized self-starter who executes independently in a fast-moving, agile environment.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Sheets/Excel expertise for mapping, lookups, pivots); Mac/PC fluent.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certifications a plus.
