Temporary Employee, Full-time, Remote, PST Shift
Monthly Net Salary: ₱70,000 to ₱90,000
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Paralegal to support attorneys on active matters in New York and New Jersey. You’ll handle filings, case organization, discovery support, and client/counsel coordination across fast-moving dockets. This is a hands-on, short-term role for someone who can contribute immediately, work independently, and operate confidently within NY/NJ court procedures under attorney supervision.
Responsibilities:
Draft, proof, format, and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and exhibits.
Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines; maintain litigation checklists and status reports across NY/NJ matters.
Coordinate e-filings and service (e.g., NYSCEF/EDDS/eCourts, NJ eCourts).
Conduct legal and factual research; compile citations and prepare summaries/chronologies.
Prepare discovery binders, exhibit lists, deposition kits, and hearing/closing materials.
Liaise with clients, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel; schedule depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
Preserve confidentiality; follow firm protocols on privilege, records retention, and data security.
Requirements:
2+ years’ paralegal experience with demonstrated New York and/or New Jersey court practice support.
Working knowledge of NY/NJ filing procedures and rules (e-filing via NYSCEF/EDDS/eCourts and NJ eCourts).
Strong command of litigation workflows: document management, discovery, service, and deadline control.
Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple matters.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and at least one legal platform (e.g., Clio, PracticePanther, NetDocuments) plus legal research tools (LexisNexis/Westlaw or similar).
Able to work remotely during U.S. business hours; dependable internet and a quiet, professional workspace.
Authorization to perform paralegal work under attorney supervision for NY/NJ matters (e.g., resident or fully familiar with local court requirements); must not engage in the unauthorized practice of law.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Notary (NY or NJ), experience in both state and federal courts, experience coordinating process servers and record retrieval vendors preferred.
