Procurement Manager

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a strategic and results-oriented Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship management across our supplement product lines. This role is pivotal in ensuring supply chain readiness to support rapid growth, maintain product quality, drive margin improvements, and meet dynamic customer demand across both DTC and wholesale channels. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing global suppliers and import-based procurement strategies in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Vendor Management

    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.

    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, competitive pricing, and performance.

    • Negotiate contracts to optimize cost, quality, capacity, and scalability.

    • Establish dual sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and increase competitive leverage.

    • Drive year-over-year margin improvements through a proactive cost productivity project pipeline.

  • Procurement Operations

    • Manage the full purchasing cycle, from PO generation to delivery tracking across international vendors.

    • Partner with R&D and Product Development teams to source materials for innovation pipelines.

    • Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and quality standards (FDA, cGMP).

    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

    • Lead RFP processes for cost reduction, new products, and backup sourcing.

  • Inventory & Supply Planning

    • Maintain optimal inventory levels by managing lead times and order cycles to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

    • Collaborate with manufacturing partners and 3PLs to coordinate seamless product flow.

    • Use demand data and forecasts to inform procurement strategies and working capital goals.

  • Cost Control & Reporting

    • Track procurement KPIs including COGS, lead times, fill rate, and supplier scorecards.

    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements and automation.

    • Support budgeting, SKU-level cost modeling, and financial forecasting.

    • Monitor DPO and DIO to align with financial targets and improve cash cycle health.

    • Evaluate and implement tools to enhance PO workflow visibility and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within CPG, DTC, supplements, or wellness industries.

  • Deep understanding of ingredient and packaging sourcing, along with FDA and GMP compliance.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and vendor management experience.

  • Proficiency with procurement or ERP tools, and strong Excel skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective in a remote work environment.

  • Ability to travel periodically (quarterly or monthly, based on business needs).
