Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Retail Account & Operations Manager to own the operational execution behind national/regional retail accounts. You’ll bridge Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate forecasting, compliant execution, and strong vendor scorecard performance across major retailers (e.g., Target, Walmart, Kroger). The role spans retail forecasting, deduction/trade spend management, operational compliance, and cross-functional coordination with brokers, 3PLs, and manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
Retail Forecasting & Demand Planning: Own account-level forecasts; translate sales, promo plans, and market insights into inventory plans aligned to service-level targets; partner with Supply Chain and brokers on production and allocation.
Operational Account Management: Manage daily retail operations (item setup, EDI/order flow, planogram execution, promo readiness); coordinate with 3PLs and brokers to ensure launch/reset readiness and OTIF delivery.
Deduction & Trade Spend Management: Review, validate, and dispute deductions/chargebacks; track trade programs, maintain accruals, analyze ROI, and report recovery trends.
Vendor Scorecard Performance: Monitor and improve KPIs (OTIF, fill rate, SQEP/MABD, routing compliance); lead corrective actions with 3PLs, manufacturers, and internal teams; surface root causes and fixes.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Reporting: Align with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Supply Chain on timelines, packaging updates, and promos; provide weekly performance, risk, and win summaries to leadership; document SOPs and drive continuous improvement in systems and workflows.
Requirements:
3–5 years in retail account management, deductions/trade spend, or operations within CPG.
Working knowledge of retailer compliance and scorecards (OTIF, SQEP, MABD); familiarity with retail portals (e.g., Retail Link, Kroger Partner Portal) and EDI workflows.
Proficiency with ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and strong Excel/BI skills for forecasting, KPI tracking, and reporting.
Proven success coordinating with brokers, 3PLs, and manufacturers; clear written/verbal communication and stakeholder management.
Highly organized, detail-driven, proactive problem solver who can own outcomes and drive cross-functional action.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
