Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Web Designer / Developer (E-commerce) with the potential to transition into a full-time role. This is a fully remote position supporting a design-led, performance-focused e-commerce website that serves as a primary revenue channel. The role sits at the intersection of design, development, and conversion optimization, with a strong focus on building fast, visually compelling, and high-converting digital experiences. Working hours are Monday to Friday, aligned with PST.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain pages for a Shopify-based e-commerce website
Build and optimize landing pages for paid traffic campaigns and product launches
Improve site UX/UI with a strong focus on conversion rate optimization and average order value growth
Implement design updates, site enhancements, and new front-end features
Collaborate with marketing and CRO stakeholders to support experimentation and testing initiatives
Ensure site speed, performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices
Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and site errors in a timely manner
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Web Designer and/or Developer supporting e-commerce websites
Strong hands-on experience with Shopify, including themes, customizations, and apps
Solid understanding of CRO principles, UX best practices, and performance-driven design
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with Liquid is highly preferred
Experience with React and/or Next.js, including SSR and SSG concepts, is a strong plus
Demonstrated experience building landing pages for paid marketing campaigns
Graphic design capability, including creating visual assets using tools such as Adobe or Canva
Strong visual design sensibility with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and thrive in a remote environment
