AI Agent Developer (Claude) - Law Firm

Permanent Employee, Full-time, Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AI Agent Developer to design, build, and optimize AI-powered agents for legal workflows. This role focuses on creating end-to-end intelligent systems that automate operational and legal processes such as intake, case summaries, document drafting, follow-ups, and internal workflow support.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building production-ready AI agents using Claude or similar large language models, along with strong technical knowledge in agent orchestration, APIs, workflow automation, and system integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build AI agents for legal workflows including intake, case summaries, document drafting, follow-ups, and internal task automation

  • Develop multi-step, logic-driven workflows using decision trees, memory handling, structured outputs, and tool usage

  • Implement agent orchestration through chained prompts, function/tool calling, reusable templates, and structured prompt frameworks

  • Integrate AI agents with external systems such as CRMs, case management platforms, email, SMS, and databases

  • Build and manage APIs, webhooks, and automation workflows to connect systems

  • Test, evaluate, and optimize agents for accuracy, consistency, reliability, and performance

  • Implement safeguards related to legal compliance, confidentiality, data security, and responsible AI usage

  • Collaborate with attorneys, operations teams, and stakeholders to translate workflows into AI-driven solutions

  • Document systems, workflows, and provide internal training or handoff materials

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in AI development, automation, software engineering, or related technical roles

  • Proven experience building and deploying AI agents, not just using AI tools for prompting

  • Hands-on experience with Claude or similar LLMs such as OpenAI or open-source models

  • Strong understanding of LLM architecture, agent design patterns, and multi-step workflow design

  • Experience with agent frameworks or tools such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar

  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, REST APIs, and system integrations

  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript preferred

  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and data handling

  • Understanding of JSON schemas, structured outputs, validation, and automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or n8n

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and system design skills

  • Experience working with legal workflows, law firms, or case management systems is a strong plus
